CARD STORY

The Perfect Laundry
Day Part 1

Rutile: Aaand put this here...
Mitile: Isn't the weather just perfect today, Rutile! Even the wind feels nice!
Rutile: Right you are, Mitile! With this weather our bedding will fluff up real soft!
Mitile: Hm? Hey, those clouds...
Rutile: What's up?
Mitile: Those clouds up ahead, the big and small one, don't they remind you of anything?
Rutile: A lovely parent and child? Though, I feel like I've seen something like this before...hmm, just what was it...
Mitile: Hehe, I know! Mr. Leno and his sheep!
Rutile: Ooh, I see it now! They're certainly alike.
Mitile: Mmhmm! It's the fluffiness!
Rutile: Your imagination is so bright, Mitile.
Alright, it's my turn to spot something...
Mitile: I'm sure you'll pinpoint something great, brother! But I won't lose!
Rutile: Hmmm, let's see here...Ah, that cloud! It looks like Mithra!
Mitile: Mr. Mithra? Which one...uhm, I can't find it.
Rutile: Look, that one right over there. It's all curly and billowy, like Mithra's hair!
Mithra: Like what, now?

The Perfect Laundry Day Part 1

Mitile: It's Mr. Mithra!
Mithra: Just what are you two doing?
Rutile: Hanging our bedding out to bask in the sun!
Mithra: Bedding?
Mitile: You know, your sheets and such. Would you like us to do yours too?
Mitha: Mine? Why?
Mitile: Because when you leave your bedding out to dry in the sun like this, it becomes suuuper fluffy and you can sleep soundly!
Mithra: ...Sleep soundly, you say?
Mitile: Yes, from night 'til morning!
Mithra: Very well, I leave it in your hands.
As you know, I cannot sleep well, so any bit will help.
Mitile: That decides it! Let's go grab Mr. Mithra's sheets too, Rutile.
Rutile: On it! We'll make sure your bedding becomes as fluffy as a sheep, Mithra!

Rutile: Let's find the best sunny spot to hang his sheets in.
Mitile: How about here? The sunlight is very warm.
Rutile: No no, that won't do. Over here has more light.
Mitile: I don't think so, this is warmer.
Rutile: But there's a tree nearby, so when the sun moves it'll be in the shade. This spot here is open and perfect for the bedding.
Mithra: Does it really matter? Hurry, all this bedding is heavy.
Mitile: Gosh, brother, you just hate to lose!
Rutile: I don't want to hear that from you!
Mitile: Well, I...
Mithra: Haaugh...those brothers are so alike...

CARD EPISODE

The South’s Heart of Gossip

Akira: Hey Mitile, I heard in the South that you're a good kid who goes around helping others a lot.
Mitile: Thank you! It's because I like to help out.
Akira: What sort of stuff would you get asked to do?
Mitile: Hmm, well I would get asked to fetch water from the well, watch over the stove fire, repair the house, look after the farm...
Akira: That's quite the variety!
Mitile: It is. My brother would still be at work by the time I came home, so I learned to do a lot of house chores.
But, since we're both wizards, we could get things done in a jiffy unlike our neighbours.
If we weren't wizards, we probably would've had it tough.
Akira: How did other people in the South live?
Mitile: In the South, most jobs are manual labour or transportation of goods, so the ones who went outside to work were mostly men.
The ones who worked inside were usually women, but sometimes they'd switch, or help each other out.
The neighbourhood women would always gather and sing, do laundry, sew, and cook together. It seemed like a lot of fun.
Akira: It does, everyone gets along so well.
Mitile: They sure do! That's why instead of the bookstores or the Town Hall, it's the group of women where news travels fast! Households without a woman were always late on the gossip.
